The Complete Chopin Cycle with Pianist David Rothman, every other Wednesday through April 22nd
It has been a life-long dream of David’s to perform all of the composition of Chopin, and now, in a series of concerts, occurring every other Wednesday through April, it has finally come to fruition. At the age of 10, pianist David Rothman won a scholarship in open competition, to study at the Yehudi Menuhin School, Surrey, England. Members of the jury included Yehudi Menuhin and Nadia Boulanger. At age seventeen he won a piano scholarship to study at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, where he was a student of Mieczyslaw Horszowski and Seymour Lipkin. Well known in the piano community, he continues to perform in our Sack Lunch Concerts and other venues around town. All Ages Show – Bar with I.D. Door 6:30pm.
